Jimmy Neesham, Tom Blundell and Will Young were offered the center of New Zealand as part of the group of 20 players for 2019-2020.

They replace Adam Milne, Corey Anderson and George Worker of the names hired on the 2018-2019 list.

The New Zealand World Cup team has included Allrounder Neesham and goalkeeper-hitter Blundell. Young, the 26-year-old hitter, was ready to make his debut in the Test against Bangladesh in March before the final Test was canceled after the Christchurch terrorist attack.

Tim Seifert, who missed a place in the World Cup when Blundell was preferred, lost a contract.

For Young and Blundell, this is their first central contract, while Neesham returns to the list and was lost last year after a fight for the form. He revealed last month that he was close to quitting the sport before he was talked about and made a successful return to the New Zealand team last season.

“Jimmy had a very good season and made excellent progress with Wellington, New Zealand A and the Blackcaps, he made all the posts to win one,” said selector Gavin Larsen. “Will receives an offer based on the heavy weight of the races last season, both for New Zealand A and the Central Stags.

Tom has acted as a backup for BJ Watling on the tour of the UAE, has recently played for New Zealand A and is on the World Cup team as Tom Latham’s land maintenance understudy.

Of those who have been eliminated from the list, Milne and Anderson have continued to struggle with the injuries that discarded them for the World Cup squad. Milne briefly returned to New Zealand side in the T20I against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates last year,

but has only won four games since then and withdrew from the IPL.

Last year, Anderson, who also played the T20I against Pakistan, said he would focus exclusively on white-ball cricket to try to win the World Cup, but he could not do enough to return to New Zealand’s side one day. He has recently undergone shoulder surgery.

Players have until May 9 to accept to reject the offer of the contract.

Players have proposed a central contract for 2019-20 : Todd Astle, Tom Blundell, Trent Boult, Colin de Grandhomme, Lockie Ferguson, Martin Guptill, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Colin Munro, Henry Nicholls, James Neesham, Jeet Raval, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor, Neil Wagner, BJ Watling, Kane Williamson, Will Young.
