The number one British, Johanna Konta, reached a semifinal clay field for the first time in her career with the victory over Hsieh Su-Wei at the Moroccan Open.

Konta will play with Australia’s Ajla Tomljanovic in the semifinals of their third match of 2019.
Tomljanovic, the fourth seed in Morocco, beat Konta in straight sets in Brisbane before the Briton won in three sets at the Australian Open in late January.
It is his first appearance in the semifinals since his defeat against Daria Kasatkina in the Kremlin Cup in Moscow in October 2018.
