Mohammad Amir looks for Oval in an effort to reactivate World Cup prospects

Mohammad Amir last match for a role in the Pakistan World Cup campaign can begin where he is one of the architectural achievements of the Trophy Championship they know in 2017.

Muhammad Amir

Muhammad Amir was not selected in the preliminary Pakistan squad for the tournament but was included in the 17-man squad for the England series, which began yesterday at The Oval. If he starts, it will be an understanding that the show here can squeeze him into the final World Cup 15.

So far in this tour, Amir has appeared in one of four games played by Pakistan – a warm 50s game against Northamptonshire where he took 1 for 45.

But it is understood he will be part of a 12-day match in Pakistan and relies on what appears to be the weather and the surface of the morning is a good opportunity to start.

“As far as bowling progresses, we will be flexible in this series, we will try and give Amir a full chance,” said Sarfaraz Ahmed. “The good thing is we have this chance to try what we need to try before the World Cup. We have until May 2 so we want to give Amir a full opportunity to assume his claim on the side.”

If he goes into the squad, he will hold some extra personal interest for Amir, who is his first World Cup. He missed the 2011 and 2015 tournaments due to his five-year ban on the determination of the place.

The word around Amir’s participation is that it is a kick that he has long required to put the right thing in the 50-over game. But considering how the drought he has been experiencing since the Trophy Cup final, he still needs to show some form of solid wicket pickup to come back.

At 14 ODI since the final, he only took five goalkeepers, which would be wicketless in the nine-time round. It’s been strange where, though he seldom looks like picking a wicket, he also does not look awful. His economic rate during that period was 4.58, even if you took the game against Zimbabwe and Hong Kong which rose to 5.28.

But Pakistan already has two left wingers in the World Cup squad; which appeared Shaheen Shah Afridi, against the fascinating and worthy appearance of Amir’s own form has been curved; and Junaid Khan, who is contemporary during Amir through their earliest years, who have drawn the same attention has picked up more wickets since the Champions League.

Mohammad Hasnain’s arrival also made it even more difficult for Mohammad Amir Hasnain has something unintentional for Pakistani squad: pure pace. It is something that Mickey Arthur is particularly excited, enough to ignore the extreme extremes. Hasnain only played four A-List games in his career, of which three were ODIs.

If Amir appears in this ODI, however, Hasnain or Junaid lower level may be most at risk of losing the place.
